Salary of each Post or Job Profile

1. Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: The post carries the pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400-1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group “B” (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.

2. Sub Inspector (Executive) – (Male/ Female) in Delhi Police: The post carries the pay scale of Leve-6 (Rs.35,400-1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group “C” (Non-Gazetted) by Delhi Police.

3. Assistant Sub-Inspector (Executive) in CISF: The post carries the pay scale of Level-5 (Rs.29,200-92,300) and is classified as Group “C” (Non-Gazetted).

Details and Mode of the exams

The Staff Selection Commission will hold an Open Competitive Computer Based Examination (Online Mode) for Recruitment of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in CISF.

The examination will consist of Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

Physical Endurance Test (PET) (For all posts):

100-meter race in 16 seconds
1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
Long Jump: 3.65 meters in 3 chances
High Jump: 1.2 meters in 3 chances
Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 meters in 3 chance

For female candidates only:

100-meter race in 18 seconds
800-meter race in 4 minutes
Long Jump: 2.7 meters in 3 chances
High Jump: 0.9 meters in 3 chances.

Eligibility and Qualification Criteria

Educational Qualification for all posts is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

Further, as per UGC (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 published in official Gazette on 23.06.2017, under Part-I (2) (P), the programs in engineering, medicine, dental, nursing, pharmacy, architecture, and physiotherapy etc are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode.

Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification as on 01-01-2020 will not be eligible and need not apply.

Note: For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only: Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests. However, the candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) are eligible for all other posts in CAPFs.

Age Criteria

The age limit of the candidates should be from 20 to 25 years as on 01.01.2020, with age relaxation for OBC/Ex-Servicemen candidates of 3 years, SC/ST candidates of 5 years

Fees for the examination

Rs.100/- as a fee is there for Gen/OBC candidates and exemption for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen.
